A very pleasant idol-themed one hour drama special from KBS2, Finding Handsome (2024) tells the story of what happened to the members of an idol band whose lead singer, played by well known actor Hong Jong Hyun (What Comes After Love, Scarlet Heart Ryeo, Her Lovely Heels, White Christmas, Wild Romance), mysteriously disappeared, causing the other members to go look for him, since their band's popularity was never the same after he left. Their hunt for him leads them to some unusual places and the journey allows us to see into each young man's character, to discover what their personal and professional ambitions are for the future.

Each idol member had cute nicknames given to them once they were accepted into the group, names such as Cutie (Oh Seung Hoon), Genius (Han Eun Sung), Shy (Lee Woo Tae), Tall (Kim Joon Beom), and of course Handsome (Hong Jong Hyun). They were named by the group's older manager named Park Gwang Bae (Lee Seo Hwan), who recognized their core personalities right away.

These four friends use the internet in part in order to try and track down Handsome. They all know their band was not the same once Handsome left, but they are also concerned about him as a human being, that he could have suffered some sad fate. In flashbacks we see how they all met and how their friendships grew.
